Initially, it has 30 preset channels so the owner can modify this later on to listen to additional programs. The customer can get this model for $329 that is available online or in some electronic stores.

The portable radio from Sirius has a rechargeable battery. The individual can also compliment this with other accessories so this can be hooked into sound system at home.

Other companies also have portable devices to do this such as the Delphi Myfi that can record up to five hours for people to listen to XM radio. This is available from $169 to $199 online or in retail outlets.

When the person has purchased the portable radio, the only thing to do will be to activate this online or using the telephone. Sirius only charges $5 for this and then the owner will just have to pay a subscription fee of only $12.95 for one or two years.

Customers who will be using this for a longer period of time can pay $499 for a lifetime subscription.

Some people think that getting an Ipod is much better than getting a portable radio. The nice feature of this device is that it does not require hooking it up to a computer to get new content. Everything can be downloaded here directly and the person can switch from one channel to the next with a turn of the dial.

The only thing for the individual to do is decide whether to subscribe to Sirius or XM radio.

Sirius provides the customer with commercial free music and shows. It also allows the person to play this over and over again, which can really cheer someone up and make one fell better.
